Sheikh Ahmed Deedat - a man totally dedicated to his faith and propagation of Islam. He was not afraid to challenge any one to debate and gave a lifetime of struggle to Islam. Ahmed Hoosen Deedat, a man whose voice of courage and truth served as a beacon of light, amidst the prejudice and hypocrisy of the neo-missionary crusaders of the 20th century and amidst the gloom cast by the oppressive injustices of the capitalist world order, has finally passed away into the presence of his Lord.
Ahmed Deedat is considered as one the great missionary scholars of Christology both from Islamic and Christian sides. As the studies about 'Deedatian Revolution' imply that it had far-reaching results, it could be analyzed as zealous effort of puritan Muslim to save whole human kind from absurd and superseded beliefs.
Deedat was born in India's Surat province in 1918. His father, a tailor, immigrated to South Africa soon after.
